Gary Serota - Guitar

Gary started playing bass in the 8th grade. He continued playing bass in various bands, mainly originals, for 20 years. During that time, the band met Ed King from Lynyrd Skynyrd. Ed liked the band’s music and started recording and producing a few of their songs. Ed was pulled away to tour and record with Skynyrd and Gary’s band started falling apart.

Gary burned out on the local original scene and took a musical hiatus. Then he started playing guitar and was rejuvenated and inspired by one of his first loves: Southern Rock guitar!

“I’ve come full circle: playing Southern Rock with a great bunch of guys, for a totally dedicated and awesome fan-base!”

"Playing in front of a crowd of people singing and dancing along is one of the coolest experiences as a musician. Being able to do it with the guys of Big Whiskey makes it even better."
